Measuring Your Pallet

Length

Measured along the stringer boards (the long boards that run the length of the pallet). This is the direction forks enter for 2-way pallets.

Pro Tip: Length is always listed first (e.g., 48" × 40" means 48" length)

Width

Measured perpendicular to the stringers, across the deck boards. For 2-way entry pallets, forks cannot enter from this direction.

Pro Tip: Width is always listed second (e.g., 48" × 40" means 40" width)

Height

Measured from the bottom of the pallet to the top of the deck boards. Standard height is typically 5-6 inches, but can vary.

Important: Consider fork clearance and door heights when selecting height

Deck Board Spacing

The gaps between top deck boards. Closer spacing provides better support for smaller items or boxes that might fall through.

Standard: 3-4 inches between boards for most applications
